BRASIL – FIRST IMPRESSIONS
After a few too many bus rides to and through Rio de Janiero state, I found myself sitting on the sidelines in a deep mist watching the Brasilian National Women’s team (Marta included) training at the CBF’s Granja Comary. Thoughts of the many amazing Brasilian players that had stepped on that very same field swirled throughout my mind. After 24 years of living for this game, this was one of those days where I had to take a moment and be truly thankful for where I was at. Here’s a few shots taken along the way…
Many thanks to Caitlin Fisher for bringing me to Brasil. To Kleiton Lima for inviting us to witness the Brasilian national team at work (holy shit!). And of course, to the ever so wonderful Testa and Karen for guiding us all around Rio, patiently teaching me some Portuguese and giving up their beds for us to rest. xxx
